Rear Main Oil Seal

My mechanic replaced it twice and it is still leaking. I have had some people tell me that it mightbe installed backwards. if so can it be removed and reused or do I have to get a new one. I may try this myself since my mechanic has done it twice. Is is that easy to make the mistake of putting it in backwards ?

It is not too hard to install backward. When it is installed that way, there usually is a slice cut into the seal that allows a leak. I am attaching a link I used when I replaced my seal. Good luck.

Just ignore the info about the exhaust and you should be fine.
