Am I an idiot, or is this impossible? Back in the mid 90's I had an '88 wrangler with a soft top. I seem to remember being able to "roll up" the rear window without completely unzipping it. Now I have an '04 with a soft top and the rear window has one zipper making it impossible to roll it up while being zippered. What I don't understand is there are 2 straps hanging from the ceiling. I seem to remember my "88 having these straps, that's how you secured it once it was rolled up. This leads me to believe that rolling up the rear window on my '04 IS possible. Like I stated before, am I an idiot?
There should be two. I have an '04 also and my original top and my new top both have two zipper pulls on the back window. The zipper starts on the left side. You could do like I do and just unzip it and roll it down and let it hang behind the rear seat.
My rear window is always rolled up. I even leave it rolled up when I put the top down. I unzip both sides to the top, roll the window and put it through the straps. I roll it tight and go around twice with each strap so its out of the way. Its not impossible. Ill be pulling the doors off tomorrow and I leave the top on so Ill grab a pic for ya if it helps. Are you sure it has 1 zipper and the second one is not with (on top of) the other zipper? that has happened before.
