Arrow Removing front windows

Hey guys, I'm new here. My name is Jeff, I'm new to this Jeep thing. I used to have a 99 Dodge Ram Sport 4x4 with the 360 auto and extended cab. Sold it due to gas prices. Not new to forums though, I've been on many Dodge forums.

Anyway, my question is this... How do I remove the front windows? I already removed the door pannel, removed the screws from the window to the track, but I can not slide them back and fourth to get them out. I then took the 2 screws that hold on the triangle part off by the mirror. But if I slide this piece out, will I have enough room to get the window out?
Thanks for your help, and sorry for the long introduction.
Jeff

1 should be efficient for both windows. If you're good you can get both with one throw.

You are obviously using reason and discernment. Of which, neither are prerequisites for this thread.

Honestly asking. Does your monitor make noise? If so, time to upgrade out of the 80s.

Just leave it in harlem over-night. The windows will be taken out for you free of charge. Minus some other parts you may or may not need.

LOL, you guys are funny as hell. I like the brick one and the harlem one. Nice, hahaha. Anyway I want to remove them on my TJ (isnt this the TJ section?) to tint them properly. I tried with them in but the seals are a pain in the ass to get the tint tucked in there proplery. I would really appriciate some help on this as I would be very greatful, thanks and I hope to be around here a long time. I already have some 09 rubicon rims and BFG M/T's that are 32's on their way here. Also ordering wheel spacers and a 2.5 RC coil lift. Soon to be all installed.

You should have mentioned that before- about the tinting. I had mine done two weeks ago. It took the guy 17 minutes to do both, with the windows rolled up. I have no problem with the edges at all. You should be able todo the same.

its probably funny cause everyone i have ever known to get their windows tinted (me included) never had to remove the windows!

you kinda just drive your vehicle to the install place, and they do the window tinting for ya... windows intact!

if youre struggling with a self install, all the more reason to take it somewhere. its not expensive at all.

trust me, i can appreciate trying to do it yourself, but when youre gonna waste a ton of time doing things the hard way ... especially with something so inexpensive.... well i think its time to pay someone else to do it.

Don't feel bad man...I don't pay anyone to do anything on my Jeep. I get much more satisfaction from doing my own work....and it's cheaper! You may struggle with some projects, but the satisfaction IMO is worth it!

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

you could probably get two front windows tinted for 50 bucks and an hour out of your time. Must better than the satisfaction of taking your windows out and turning this into a whole weekend project.

Well here in ND, (Fargo might I add where we are flooding like crazy) it is 50 bucks a window. If I can save 90 bucks by doing it myself I sure would like to put that money towards a nother mod. I am busy lately helping sandbag so I will let you guys know how it turns out. Thanks, Jeff.

Iv done it before when I was installing my power windows...I cant remember exactly but I took off the triangle piece toward the front of the door and the U shaped channel thing that holds the window and it was just a matter of wiggling it and turning it. And making sure the window is not attached to the track anymore.

These aren't going to fit your TJ, different Bolt Pattern, Unless the spacers you ordered are Adapters.

Yes the spacers I'm going to order are made for the difference in bolt pattern.

Also just had a friend come over and we tinted the windows while they were in, hes very good at it, I'm just an amature.
