Repack Bearings

I am trying to repack the bearings on a 01 TJ...I removed the pin from the protective cover...but have been unable to break loose the nut holding in the bearing????

They are a bit rusty... I have used a penatrating fluid with not results. Can I used Heat???

ummm, if you figure out how to repack the bearings on a wrangler you let us know.

they are not serviceable inner and outer bearings. it is a sealed hub unit. that nut is the axle nut, the front axle shaft is what its threaded to.

are you having an issue? the hub bearing assembly is a common failure.

Ditto. If you get one that comes apart you are in bigger trouble than some grease. I've done that before go to pull off a unit bearing and only half of it comes loose.

What are the symptoms you are experiencing that makes you want to "grease" them?
