Replacing a Steering Wheel

The Leather on my OEM steering wheel is torn at a few spots. I was looking for a cover and they all involved sewing and a long process. I don't like the stretch covers. I see used steering wheels on ebay for the same price as a leather cover. How hard/easy is it to replace steering wheel on a 98 Jeep Wrangler with Airbags. I read another post where it was suggested to remove the fuses for the airbags, and even disconnect the battery.

Get a lace on leather steering wheel cover. It looks better than the factory cover and only takes 10 minutes to lace on, just like lacing up shoes. Mine is going on 12 years old and is just now starting to show a little wear.

basically it isn't easy, they are not direct fit replacements, air bag won't function, some states won't pass inspection, even making the horn work is a big deal on some of them. also requires a puller to remove the steering wheel, best bet is find an oe replacement.
