Replacing Coolant Sensor - 02 Wrangler X

All,

A question from an eager greenhorn.

re: My 6 cyl, 5-speed, X...Im losing water from the passenger side of the engine block, looks like it's coming straight out of the Coolant Sensor(?) sez my friendly mechanic. Any tricks to replacing it? Looks like it should be pretty simple.

Any advice, tips, etc. would be great. Thanks in advance.

I replaced mine last month, it is 4 cyl so it is a little different. But if you will put the pipe tape on the new sensor BEFORE you take the old one out and have it there at the hole. This will help you not lose a lot of fluid. Also if you will hold the tape and turn the sensor as you put the tape on the threads it will put the tape on so that it wont come off when you start threading it into the block.
