Replacing rear frame half

Hey guys, 13 years of salt has taken its toll on my frame. I have found a couple frames up here but they are all ridiculously priced (up in the 4 digit area). However there's a guy selling just the rear half of the frame (from the front lower control arms back) for a more reasonable price.

This seems like a better option (easier and cheaper) than a full on frame swap. So my question is has anyone done this before? Any advice? I guess the hardest part in my mind is making sure the frame is square and supporting it during the welding process. Thoughts?
