Replacing suspension: No lift

Hello again. I'm looking to get a couple more questions answered as I approach the final project in getting my 99 to where I want it to be.

It currently has 65K miles and is running on 31's. Unlike most, I am happy with the current ride height and would like to keep it that way. The stock suspension just feels a little "worn out" in my opinion.

Most of my driving is around town and when I do go "off-road" it is mainly through the plowed fields around here - nothing major. I know very little about shocks and springs and would like your opinion before the local shop tries to sell me something.

Keeping in mind my driving style what should I consider? Do you typically replace both shock and springs?

Thanks again for the help!

If you need parts, I have my stock ones from when I went to a 2.5" lift at 10,500 miles. I have all of the parts as saved from that time - everything that would have been swapped with a Rubicon Express 2.5" Budget Lift Kit. Springs, arms, steering stuff, shocks, etc. Like I said, 10,500 miles on it and it's all in a box in the garage.

Thanks for the offer!

However, I'm looking to upgrade from the stock set-up while keeping the stock ride height. Any other suggestions for options?

You might try a set of good gas shocks before going to a shop.
