Reverse keeps grinding

I just bought an 05 wrangler x, its a manual. everything seems to be working fine i can shift from 1st gear to 6th without any problems. but when i shift to reverse the first couple times it will always grind when i accelerate. i have to be really rough with the shifting and switch from neutral to reverse at least 5 times before my jeep will back up. im really hoping its not a major transmission issue can i get any pointers on what this problem could be?

yeah i'm almost positive that the clutch disengages far enough, as for the leaking, i'll have to check that in the morning
