Reverse Lights Not Working

Noticed the other day I have no reverse lights. I've checked the fuse box and bulbs, they are fine. Any ideas about what to check next?

Thanks,
Rex

The reverse light switch is physically part of the transmission, it's not on the linkage. For most manual transmissions, it's located on the passenger-side. On automatics, there's a combination Reverse/Neutral Safety switch that is, at least on 2002 and older TJ automatics, located at the very rear on the driver's side. Not sure if it's in the same location on the newer 2003+ automatics.
