Couple things... Were you in 4wheel drive? If so, could have been the driveline loading and unloading through the wheel with least resistance. If you have an automatic front locker, that could be doing it, locking and unlocking through the turn. If your tire is severely out of balace, that could be the issue, when was the last time you had them balanced? Could just be the ujoint is running at too great an angle when you are at full lock and it is binding, you can adjust your steering stops to remedy that. These are the cheap problem/solutions... If you have a bad hub/unit bearing in the front, that could cause it, jack that corner up, grab the wheel at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock and wiggle it. If you get any movement you will need to replace the bearing. Start with these, and I am sure you will get a few other different ones as well. Without more information on your Jeep and the exact circumstances, we will just be guessing though... Good luck!
