Rimmer Supercharger Owners?

Anyone on the forum running a Rimmer supercharger on their TJ? If so, I'm looking for some detailed pics of it installed. I'm mid install with my kit and am confused on the wiring part of the install. If you haven't heard of the kit check out www.jeepsuperchargers.com. Here are a few pics of where I'm at on the install.

I can't help you but I do have a question about the supercharger. I see you have a '97, how does this kit handle tuning?

according to their website they're using the SplitSecond FTC-1 plug-n-play. That, or a Unichip-Q are the only real options for 97-04. I'm really curious to know what the IAT's are on a hot day idling in traffic...

Thanks, I saw on the website Split Second but wasn't sure exactly what set up, probably could have figured it out though by going to Split Second's website... Looks like this kit uses a 7th injector though, which I'm not a fan of. If you're going to spend that much money on a piggy back system I don't understand why you'd use a 7th injector and not just install new ones with the proper flow rate.

SplitSecond sells the following P-n-P chips:
FTC1-201 controls a 7th injector
FTC1-202 uses larger injectors

I agree, I don't get why they'd use the -201....I guess to prevent you from having to buy & install 6 new injectors? I'd rather buy new Bosch injectors and use the -202....

But technically both are viable options & proven in their own right...RIPP did the piggyback injector thing on their 1st gen 05-06 kit.

Thinking about it, because they aren't using an intercooler, likely the 7th injector keeps intake temps down

Yes, the 7th injector is used to cool. It seems to be doing very well so far. Engine temps go to 210 and drop down like a usual stock jeep does. Here is a few pics just got done with the install this afternoon. The power difference is night and day for sure.

The Split Second FTC is a great little box. It intercepts the CPS and CamPS and will retard timing based on boost-rpm table. It also controls the 7th injector to inject fuel into the SC also based on a boost-rpm table. All the extra fuel needed for the power increase of the SC is supplied by the 7th injector. The 7th injector and fuel also acts as a chemical/liquid intercooler and drops the charge IAT 50-70 degree F. There is a bypass valve so that when idling in traffic the air does not go thru the SC and the IATs are just like stock. By not increasing the stock 6 injectors, there is no nat. asp. tuning required. It starts, idles, drives and cruises just like stock. Passes emissions, 100% OBDII legal. Very easy install.
