Ring and pinion gear installation

Is it hard to install ring and pinion gears if you never have done it before.

If you've never done it before, yes, it's hard and can be frustrating at times. It's not impossible but you have to have a lot of patience and time.

If you don't have another car to drive I wouldn't do it. Rushing, trying to get the Jeep drive able is a sure fire way to do something wrong and ruin the new set of gears. I also wouldn't do it axles in the Jeep.
