Exclamation Rock Krawler Questions???

Hey I have a question to ask I found out the two lifts that I really like but I dont know which one to go with?? And what the diffence between 5.5" Rock Krawler X Factor and Triple Threat Long Arm kit? Which one is better? Or a 5.5" Rubicon Express Long Arm kit??? Can anyone help me? If you have one of these set up please let me know! Which one is better? If you have pics please post them.

Thanks so much,
Mdwrangler

I've had the RE long arm on my previous 99 tj and the RK 5.5 xfactor on my 04 jeep tj.

I prefer the RK far more than the RE. Unloading isn't nearly as bad with the RK setup as it is in the RE that uses radius arm. They both flex amazingly well but the RK much more so. The RK flex advantage is that it does not use radius arms up front but instead has 3 separate links... two lower and only 1 upper link (drivers side) and that is what allows it to flex so well.

between the triple threat and the rk xfactor. I'd recommend the Xfactor with the 3 control arms up front for rock crawling. It will flex better. The triple threat with 4 control arms up front is designed more for fast jeep speed racing than for rock crawling but can do both well. But you could always remove that 4th link in the triple threat and it would be just like the xfactor

I have some pics in the lift kit review thread

I have a 99 tj, as far as road use goes, how do the long arm lifts handle? Ive heard they are real wobly..... I want to be able to offroad but its also my only vehicle.... would a 4" suspension lift work better?

the long arms are great for daily drivers. The wobbliness that you hear about is from improper maintenance, bad alignment or the giant tires that are not balanced, etc. A well maintained jeep won't give you problems regardless if its stock suspension or long arm lift kit.

I daily drove my jeeps with long arms for many years and miles. I had 38" bias tires driving to work on the 5.5" RK xfactor long arm system and I never felt it was handling poorly.

Just check the steering and alignment and get under the jeep every now and then to check it all out and you'll be good
