Hey guys I have a 2000 wrangler pushing a 4 inch lift which includes 2 inch spacers. I just bought some of these and installed them. Is it normal for them to be a little slanted like this? Or did I gets sold the wrong size?

Running 2" spacers with lifted springs is no bueno. If you stated a 4" lift that include the 2" spacers, it looks like your springs have experienced coil bind. Rid of the spacers and get the right lifted springs and if needed for additional lift, add a small 1.25" BL.

Explain to me how a coil will become more or less compressed based on if it has a spacer or not.

Because I am pretty sure (ASE certified tech here) that coils only compress from weight\force being applied. So unless he kept his swaybar links the same length, or the shocks don't have enough travel, there is no way spacers compress coils.

Besides how would a 2in spacer equal exactly a 2in increase in lift if they were causing spring compression?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with spacers(up to a certain height) on any springs as long as you have the correct bumpstop and shock combo with it

It will allow the coil to compress more before hitting the bump stop if it has a spacer on top. This can lead to coil bind. Normal driving, he wouldn't compress any more because it is only due to force. On a flex, many of us flex until we hit our bump stops which are meant to prevent coil bind but the spacer allows coil bind to take place

And coil bind can happen with any suspension lift without proper bumpstop

If you install lift springs without the recommended bumpstop they will bind the same way.

Spacers are fine, just have proper shocks and bumpstops

Example

ACOS System Made for stock and lift springs

yeah, I will probably look into a new lift in general anyways, maybe a little higher. Any recommendations?

Also The mounting brackets for the quick link disconnects ended up getting crazy bent up when i took it out and had the disconnects on them. Any idea why this happened? Or what i can do now instead to hold them out of the way while they are disconnected?
