I recently bought a 2003 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon and took it out on some trails for the first time last weekend. The Jeep did great! The only challenging section was when I was coming up a fairly steep, rocky trail with some good size rocks and loose gravel. I had it in 4L and didn't have any problems, but every once in a while a tire would hit some of the loose gravel and slip, then I would hear a clank/clink sound. Is that the rear limited slip? It it normal to hear this sound? I locked in the rear locker and it quit making the sound and didn't slip as often, although I did hear the sound one more time, even after locking in the rear locker. Does the front axle also have the same limited slip differential as the rear?
