Question Running out of time PLEASE HELP!!!

It won't pass emission because it's only reading 40% of the computer they said. I took it twice and both times they said to drive it for a week or so. It expires this month and that was the extension date. I have a 2005 Sport with a 3.5 lift and 33s. I also recently replaced the battery, but it was back in February of this year. My mechanic said that we might have to replace the main CPU, but before I do that PLEASE HELP!!! let me know... thanks in advance

How much has it been driven since replacing the battery? Sometimes it takes longer but there usually 50-100 miles is enough to gather info

Had to put about 150 miles on a ford we have for the cpu to relearn after replacing battery. Be sure you drive a lot of stop and go and some freeway.

Also forgot to include it in my previous post that th CPU will often reset depending on warm up cycles regardless of distance travelled. I believe it is usually 40 cycles for our tjs

I have driven it for more than a thousand mile at least, with both stop & go and freeways. I will try to leave the battery unplugged overnight. Anymore helpful info would be appreciated, thanks...

The OBD II Drive Cycle/Monitors have not run to completion, By disconecting the battery you will erase any that have already ran & the entire process will have to run to completion sometimes certian drive cycles will not complete for various reasons (engine not to operating temp,Fuel Level too low, etc) Try & follow this drive cycle http://www.obd2.com/support/reprog/d..._procedure.pdf
