Savvy Gas Tank Skid

Just ordered the Savvy gas tank skid, my question is how do you depressurizes a 06 fuel system? Has anybody installed one that might have some do & donts, how about before and after shots?? Thank You for your time..

Don't know why you need to take pressure out to remove or add a shield but standard way is either
1) unplug harness to pump at rear and run engine till it dies from fuel starvation
2) if you have a pressure port on the fuel rail put on a gauge with a bleed line and depress bottom on gauge fitting and let fuel run out little plastic hose into a suitable container

pull the fuel pump reply out under the hood. start the jeep and let it idle till it stalls. drop the tank, do the work, reinstall tank, reinsert fuel pump reply.

This is the easiest way to do it.

I think that's the next thing I add to my jeep. And a tummy tuck.

Gerald said they haven't really found a sticker design he likes, so probably no sticker.

I did exactly what unlimitedlj04 for did for my savvy tank. Also the watching the rokmen video helped. As for the sticker just send them an email and they'll send a sticker that's what I did after I got my gts.

That pic was taken during its maiden voyage through a local desert trail. Though it has somehow remained undented on more major hits than I care to recall, it's not nearly as pretty now as it was in that pic.

Wasn't that pic on your red TJ? How did you like your superior rear truss ?

Oh yeah that was on my previous red TJ, what a memory you have. That truss was great, I tried to get another for the current TJ but it was too late by then, they were out of business by then.

This next one is on the current black TJ, it's taken some significant abuse but it's still doing well.

It installs the same way using the same mounting holes whether or not you have a body lift.

tank

I am talking about the skid itself , the instructions say you can put the skid together two ways one hole for non body lift and the other hole for a body lifted jeep..I still need one of those Savvy Decals anybody have one,I'll pay postage...

skid installed

Well the wife and I installed the Savvy skid today went pretty smooth. Had a few problems with the some of the connection's but we got her done. I was surprised to see all the stuff in side the stock skid, glad we switched it out. I emailed Mr G about a Decal said no more available..if he's not happy with his Decal design, maybe he could set up a contest for Decal designs and give the winner one of his products???

When did you talk to him? I bought some savvy stuff last week and he hasn't replied to my email or answered his phone the two times I have called. I still have to pay for my stuff! I'm glad the install went smooth. Their skid is on my list
