I'm pretty sure my toothpaste is known in the state of califonia to cause cancer. I counted up the chemicals at work one time(that had a state of California warning) and stopped counting after 20. My sister (lives in la) told me breathing in all those chemicals and diesel exhaust will kill me. Yeah whtever. Maybe a little brain damage buut.

DO NOT USE SEA FOAM!!! at east on older cars that have a lot of carbon build-up. i put some in mine (while following all of the instructions and tutorials) and it destroyed my engine. Yes destroyed it, as in i had to drop in a new rebuilt engine. what happened was all of the carbon build up and small amount of water in the sea foam made its way into the piston and snapped the arm.

it was a $3000 fix.

you can take the chance if you want but just remember i warned you.

Just for teh record there used to be another cleaner out there called Risalone, that worked just as good as seafoam, only difference is Risalone used to come in a quart can like the oil did.

That is simply a hydro-lock...too much Seafoam at once and the piston could not compress it, hence breaking the rod.

So far the sea foam has worked perfectly. I ended up using just a little less than suggested because I've never used it and my luck I would snap something. When I first bought this jeep the last owner neglected it. So i didn't want to shock the engine by removing all the build up at once. I just changed the oil about 1000 miles ago then put sea foam through and ran it 80 miles. The 1000 mile oil looked like it was yrs old. I'll try it again next 3000 miles.

I've had a lot of success with Unicorn blood... Just a few drops in the intake. Works great. Kind of hard to find these days though. Try Leprechaun tears too. They work just as well and gold coins sometimes fall out of the exhaust. Win win if you ask me.

I think using a half bottle before an oil change is a good idea. But I would not leave in too long as it thins out the oil.

I have used the stuff for 20 years. It's not a miracle cure but I have seen in do wonders fit marine motors and small engines.

My snow blower loves the shit. Runs like hell until I toss in a little.

Has anyone tried burning sea foam? Guess what it does not burn white nor blue, if you try burning gas and sea foam it still does not burn white nor blue. All that smoke that comes out after using it, is the gnarly stuff your beautiful engine has built up.

So is there any real review of this product on here or is it just so scary that no one except the OP has used it?

I bought a can on sale yesterday, was debating finding a vacant lot to do it in so the HoA doesn't fine me. Seems to me so long as you slowly add it through the vacuum line your fine. Drive around, piss of some tree huggers and change your oil and spark plugs after.

Everyone claiming that this is a horrid product could you please point me to a bad review or has everyone just heard a story from a friend of a friend who knows a guy?

I used sea foam when I first bought the jeep it was a good product I just poured it in on top of a new tank of gas and drove it. The jeep definitely ran smoother after so I guess my injectors were really clogged.

I bought my TJ 3/7/11 with 112,000 miles and Seafoamed it that Spring. I put a bottle through the break booster Vacuum line, a can through gas, and a can through crankcase. I just traded it in 3/6/14 with 155,000 for a brand new JK. I was extremely impressed with how clean and how much smoother it ran right through trading it in. People on WF cried like school children when I asked about doing it. It boosted my GPM to a regular 22gpm.

Thank you both. I am debating on just doing the gas tank or doing all three (Oil Gas and Vacuum).

I'd like to do all 3. Just wanted some legit reviews. 98 TJ with 120,000 it has been sitting in a garage at a friends shop all winter so it definitely needs something to clean it up. Also trying to clear the p1294 code (I already removed and scrubbed the TB clean)

Do it close to the highway so you can jump on and drive the balls out of it. Pour it slower than slow. Just a couple drops at a time until can is gone. You will have to keep it running my operating the fuel with your hand.

I got on highway and stopped traffic in both directions because of the thick white foul smelling cloud I let loose. It was awesome.

That is awesome- you can do the same thing by dumping ATF into your carb or intake. I wonder which does more good?

Just applied it to my vacuum line and gas tank. Check engine light is gone, idle is back under 1000 rpms. Still need to change the oil and spark plugs though.
