Sealing the distributor...

Has anyone done this? My friend mentioned that it would help keep moisture out of it... What would do to go about doing this?

Ok, I went offroading with some friends and when I was done, it started bogging down real bad and my friend popped it off and wiped all the moisture out and it worked fine after that, but my check engine light was still on..

A quick shot of WD-40 into the distributor will take all the moisture out.
