Thumbs up Shifter

I just bought an Aftermarket shifter knob and was actually wondering how to remove the stock one. I dont see any type of Nut to loosen up. Anyone have the answer?

what year?

you probably have to pop the cap off of the shifter knob that shows your shift pattern and there should be a nut under it

Use a flatheaded screwdriver to carefully pop off the cap that has the shift pattern on it. There is a nut underneath. Once that nut is off, the shifter knob will screw off.

Automatic T-Shifter Handle Removal???

Is this merely threaded on or is there another trick to getting the T handle off?

Auto T-handle pulls straight off.
Shift the lever so you can get right over it with both hands and gently (but very firmly) pull straight up.
If you wear glasses, take them off - I've heard of people smacking themselves in the face when the T-handle lets go.
