shifting high rpm

Hey i got a 2006 wrangler x auto it is shifting at high rpms any.ideas?

2500 it's taking forever to shift into second then finally goes hard

2500 rpm is the correct range to shift. Most shift their manuals in the 2,000-3,000 range. Maybe more if towing. As far as a rough shift, have you checked the fluid levels and color in the transmission?

2500 is correct cause its right in the middle of the power band

Shifting hard? Change the fluid and see if it helps

They have some stuff at Napa that is suppose to help a auto shift better. A friend of mine put it in his car and it cured the problem.

Do you know the history or mods to the vehicle? Maybe it has a shift kit in it?
