small leak

Hello guys,

im getting a small leak from in between my transmission and motor, but it looks like the oil is coming from the top and running down. Is this my rear main seal?

1997 Jeep Wrangler 2.5 4cyl.

If it's coming from up high, it's probably the valve cover.

Look at the back of your engine from different angels, feel around with your hand see if you get any residual oil behind the engine where the valve cover meets the head. If there's no sign of oil leaking from that high up, it could be your rear main seal. 4cyl's aren't as notorious as the 4.0's for RMS leakage but that sounds more like the culprit. Plenty of write ups on it, a relatively simple fix.
