So there's no coolant in the reservoir...

Does "engine coolant only" mean don't mix 50 50 with water?

This came as a shock to me as my jeep hasn't been running hot... broken temp gauge?

It means 50 percent coolant like Zerex G-05 and 50 percent distilled water.

Or 60/40, 70/30, or whatever ratio you need for the temperatures you want to protect for. They don't recommend doing a concentrate of higher than 70% Zerex G05 on the label.

I would find out where your coolant is going. It doesn't just disappear. Either a leak or bad rad cap.
