soft top and hard top

I have a 2005 jeep wrangler rubicon with a soft top. I have to pick up a hard top and need to know if I have to remove the soft top and all its hardware to put a hard top on, or can I just lower the soft top and then put a soft top on?

Yes you can lower the soft top and put the hard over it if you have it well tucked down in the tub (of course take the door sourounds off also). You will have to take the hard top back off to get the soft to out.
