Question Soft Top Bolt

When I bought my 04 TJ, it came with dual tops. When I picked up the soft top for it, the guy said, "here's a bag of 4 odd-shaped bolts, I don't know what they're for." I told him that "they're for the soft top frames, thanks, I'm glad they had them."

I knew they were important & didn't want to lose them so I put them...

I don't know! I can't find the darn things now! I've got 2 days before the rain comes to find them or buy some replacements. If I can't, I've got to put the hard top back on <grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr>.

Any suggestions where I can get some post haste? I'd hate to go to "the man" to get some because I'm sure they have quite a mark up.

Your help is appreciated, Thanks!

Talking about the ones that attach the bows to the rollbar?

If you have a 4WD store near you this would work

Yup, thems the ones I can't find. 45 clams is a lot of chedda yo. Anything from a hardware store that'll do the trick for <10 bones?

Maybe I should clarify, I have the plastic endcaps with the brass inserts in the bows. I just need the bolts.

Just to clarify, you're talking about the bolts that attach this part to the rollbar?

They are just small metric screws. I would buy a few as near to the size as best you can guess & after figuring out which metric size fits, get four of that size. Most head sizes should be small enough to fit into the recess of the bow tips as the OE screws do.

Go to a hardware store and buy a few bolts. They won't look exactly right but they will work.

Then get the right ones. Heck, just PM your address to me and I'll go find four of them and mail them to you. But it will take more than 2 days.

Thanks everyone. I did get a donation of a set of bolts from a local Jeeper!

I was going to temporarily use just plain metric bolts but was afraid that the top would shake due to the difference in size of the thread OD & the shoulder OD.
