Question sound system help.

sup fellow Jeepers.
I'm running around in a 2000 TJ sport, and i could use some help figuring out what to do with my sound system. i'm sure everyone is aware of how horrid the stock speakers are, especially after 12 years.

So right now, i've replaced the dash speakers and sound bar speakers with 4 Rockford Fosgates. they sound fantastic on the high end, but it still lacks some backbone so now i'm looking into getting a subwoofer. so first off, what kind should i get? i'm not looking to wake up the neighbors, so i was thinking about 10". second, what kind of amp should i get for it? and lastly, where do i put it? TJ's dont exactly have abundant cargo space, and unlike alot many, i use what cargo space i can quite often.

I've seen people use the self powered kenwood subwoofers and the infinity subwoofers. Some people build a box under the rear seat and mount the amp under there also or under the front dash etc. just have to be creative.

I ran into the same problem with my 2005 tj. I surfed some forums and found this site very helpful. http://www.jeepz.com/forum/accessori...rear-seat.html
I did exactly what this guy did except with 2 10" pioneer subs and one amp.
Make sure to not lose interest. It is easy to give up.

I'm in the same boat. I really don't want to lose space by adding a box or using the Stealthpod on the back door. The best I can do is search eBay and craigslist for a stock sub enclosure kit. I have yet to find anyone that manufactures replacement enclosure kits for the center console.

There are a number of small mono amps that will fit under the front dash.

Here's a good thread: Install an Amp Under the Dash for fifty cents -Lots of pics - JeepForum.com
