Spring spacer in rear only?

I have a RC lift currently and run 35s (05 X, 4.0, 6MT). It is fine, but I need more clearance in the rear only. I also would like the back a little higher than front as it is too level now, or the front is a tad higher...anyway

Can I just add a 1 inch or 1.25 inch spacer to the rear springs and leave front alone. Any issues with rear spacer only? Heard of others doing front only, not rear only.

Advice?

No problem dude, put some spacers and be happy. When did u install the RC lift? My front were higher at first but now sagged a bit lower than the rear.

Keep in mind any upgrades will sag the front.. ex.. winch.. bumper.. etc the stock bumper is 15lb so i'm pretty sure even the soda can tube fenders are heavier than that.

RC lift and front bumper, over 2 years ago...and a set of 33s ago...now the 35s and some spacers for the rear...lifting the rear will also improve frontal vision, I feel like I sit too low

hhmm weird ur front hasnt sagged.. my front is 1" lower than the rear.. anyhow its fine, put some spacers in the rear and be happy I have seat reisers and they work great. I reised the back of my seat more than the front so now my seat is almost leveled.

There are spacers for cheap.. let me see if i can find you a link.. as better ones i believe they are all made of the same stuff unless they are aluminum.

I just measured and she sits almost perfectly level. only 1/4 inch diff between front and back. Would 1 inch more in the back make it weird? too tall in back?

and about those seat risers? did you make ur own? or a kit? I had a urethane bushing kicking around (2) and put one under the rear of drivers seat and still want more. they are only 1/2 inch tall...how much did you raise ur seat?

I used some longer screws (obviously) and some big spacers (big nuts in my case) As you can see the nuts are not the same thread or the same size as the bolts.. they are bigger to act as spacers. The rear is about 1.25-1.5" reised and the front is about 1/2. If you dont feel safe then use bigger spacers or maybe very thick washers but this works for me and i've had 0 problems. I'm 130 lb.

Thanks again triple

after ur last post, i went to my favorite store to look around (ebay) and found kits for $50...I would never purchase that but it gave me the idea of using 1.5 inch steel stock to make spacers...a little more expensive than the washers or nuts, but better. I will just make a bigger spacer, about 1.5 inches. 1.5 stock about a foot long is 6 bucks, a couple cuts and holes...done. The bolts I have now have about an inch extra beneath the jeep.

Just a heads up.. the TORX bolts holding the seats are a bich to remove. I got lucky as i messed one up but we were able to get it off with power tools in my shop class.
