First post, so I apologize if this has been answered multiple times. I bought my first Jeep, a 2001 Wrangler Sport automatic a few months ago and I LOVE IT. It has had one nagging issue since I got it and the dealer wasn't able to fix it.
When It's running, it runs great. Multiple times a day when i'm at stop lights, idling in gear, it will sputter and sometimes stall. I can see on the RPM gauge that it idles just under 1k, and will sputter and drop to nearly 0, kick forward a bit, and then stall. Most times it does not stall, and when it does, it starts right back up if I throw it in park. Sometimes I do have to put it in Neutral to get it to start back up again.
It does not sputter or anything while driving, only while idling in gear at stoplights. I have had it serviced, new plugs and wires, had a fuel injector service done as well.
One other point, the oil pressure runs a bit high (up to 75%) when I first start it, and gradually drops down to a normal level as it warms up and drives.
I know it will be suggested to clean my IAC and a couple of other things, I am no mechanic but that seems easy enough to do. What i'm wondering is if there are other suggestions before I dig into it.
Thanks all for your time.
EDIT: it has just about 113,000 miles as of this post.
