Squeak

My '98 Wrangler has developed a high pitched squeak which seems to be coming from the area of the right front wheel. It is only noticeable under 25 miles per hour. I have a 6 month warranty from the dealer from whom I bought the Jeep and just purchased the vehicle a little over thirty days ago. I'd like to know what the problem might be before deciding whether to ask the dealer to fix the problem, or have a local guy look at it. My self-help auto mechanic skills are nil. I am a total Yuppie 2000. As a freshwater sports fisherman I have gotten plenty of worm dirt under my nails, but never axle grease.

Any advice would be much appreciated,

Brandt

Sounds like the axle u joints! Does it have a vibration to it or a hum.. Or is it always just the squeaking? If you don't notice anything else that would be where I would start.

Just a squeak which seems to be in sync with the turning of the right forward wheel. The slower the speed, the louder the squeak. At speeds above about 30 MPH there is no audible squeak.
