Squeaky noise!

About two months ago I changed my front left wheel bearing in my 97 jeep wrangler tj. After a few days I've started to hear squeaky noises coming from the front if the jeep. (Underneath) when I take a turn or when I turn the wheel and give it some gas it starts squeaking really bad. Any ideas of what it could be? I could use much help! Thanks!

My u joints look fine, I haven't even touched them. I'm not sure how many miles they have on them. But isn't rattling one of the symptoms of bad u joints?

They'll squeak when the bearings get dry, before they get real shot. The centering ball on the DC front shaft is known to squeak too. Then again so do bushings and components that need grease, and a host of other items. Kinda hard to narrow it down without checking the usual culprits. I hope you get it sorted out.

I had the same problem. Yesterday I narrowed it down to the front drive shaft, so I'm 2wd only till I get the U-joints replaced and the ball in the CV joint lubed up. The ball being dry was the only real indication, but the double-cardan joint can be deceiving where the u-joints are concerned.

I just started hearing a squeaky noise in my right front tire. After sweating it out thinking I had to buy new front bearings after just putting my lift on and spending a crap load as of late.(Lift/35's/track bar)I came to the conclusion that it was my break pads.

Apparently there is a metal bar that hits the rotor to let you now your pads are low while you drive. It compresses as you hit your breaks and stops squeaking.
