Starting problem.

Hey guys, I was wondering what yalls thoughts were on this. I went through some pretty deep water and my Jeep stalled out. I did something stupid and tried starting it up in the water and now all it does is make a click and doesn't turn over. I'm thinking its the starter, but I'm not 100% sure. The battery is only 4 months old and tested good. I can pull start it, but that's the only way it starts. Any other things it could possibly be? It's a 2003 4.0 5 speed manual

battery connections! Actually pull your terminals and scrape them until they are bright and shiny!

Well, I checked the starter, when I took it apart the motor was shot. The teeth were all chipped, so I got another. Now it is making a horrible noise driving it. I think one of the differentials (probably the rear) is locking up
