Angry Starting problem - 98 TJ, 5-speed, 2.5L

My TJ just stopped starting. Push clutch in, turn ignition, nothing happens. I found that if I turn ignition on and manually close contacts on starter motor relay it starts and runs fine. My guess is that the Clutch Pedal Position Switch is not working. It is inside the clutch housing and difficult to get to.
If I could find the Clutch Pedal Position Switch Connector (cppsc) I could jump it out and verify this but I have no idea where the cppsc is. Can anyone help me?

It's on the clutch pedal under the dash, you can also disable it, this allows you to crank the starter in 1st gear to get off the trail.

The safety switch is located on the clutch pedal and can be unplugged and jumped with a paper clip to see if that is what it is.Once you unplug the switch push a paper clip into both terminals on the pigtail to connect the two terminals together and it should start if the switch is bad.

Nissan,Toyota and a few others have a clutch safety override button that can be pushed and will start without pushing the clutch in.

I just seen what richp was talking about in the FSM here it is
BY-PASS PROCEDURE
(1) Disengage wire connector from clutch interlock
safety switch, located under the instrument panel
next to the 100-way connector (Fig. 1).
(2) Locate open by-pass connector, located next to
the 100-way connector.
(3) Engage clutch interlock switch harness connector
into by-pass connector (Fig. 1).
Reverse the preceding procedure to activate the
Clutch Interlock Safety Switch.

or you can go here and veiw the page your self.Page 80 chapter 6-2 clutch
