starting to get puzzled on blower motor

a few months ago my blower motor was acting up. checked it out ang figured it was relay. switched it and it started working again. now it stopped working again. i read up on it on here. checked out blower motor, fuses and relay. all are fine. so i pulled the dash apart took the control knobs off and found that it was burned alittle. while pulling the control box out of jeep i disconnected the lines where it was burned and found 3 small spring, copper disc, and a few oter small parts that connect to knob from the back.figuring i just need the control box, and the control ???? thanks distortedtj for the pic from other thread

Don't know if you've looked at this. Could this be an ancillary problem?

You might have escaped a couple of the other issues, but the root cause might be there.

Could be your blower motor resistor... Mine went out a while ago. My blower would only run on the high setting, not the other speed settings. Changed the resistor...voila. It is a PITA to change, for me anyway. It is located under the glove compartment area.
