Steering gear box

does anyone know if a steering gear box from a 98 cherokee will fir a 98 wrangler? they look to be the same .

If no one can give you a "for sure" answer you might try the dealership or an auto parts store and compare part numbers.

I thought dakota's has bigger internals ... So must be a different part number

If your doing any kind of wheeling go for the 99durango v8 box direct bolt on and will last longer,I installed one and its doing great

I did the same thing once . Switched to a Cherokee box which I had here for a back up then swapped to a Durango and now a PSC which I should of done first instead of buying half worn out used boxes

Hi can any one advise what grade of gearbox oil I should put in ny 1987 YJ Wrangler

Gary did u go with the full hydraulic steering or just the psc box,looking into it when the durango box kills over but for now its doing get also im running 35km2s and i bought it new
