Stock 35 with lunch box locker and 33s

Can I make it a week or 2 on my stock 35 with a lunch box locker and 33s, until I can get some chromoly shafts? It would just be road driving.

Why tear into your axle twice within that week or two? Just install them both at the same time. You have to pull the axle shafts to install the locker, don't do it twice.

And when I was much younger and far less aware of the issues of lockers and Dana 35's, I installed a lunchbox locker when my previous TJ still had its Dana 35 rear axle with 33's. It lasted 6 weeks before the rear axle grenaded while making a slow-speed u-turn on the street. That isn't common but...

I put a different axel in last night with a locker and 4.11 gears and I punched it down and broke the left axel so I have to wait tell I get paid befor I can order them.
So today I plain on switching one shaft from my other 35 to get by. Do I need a shop to put the chromoly shafts in or can I do it?

With all the thousands of threads on how bad of an idea it is to install a lunchbox locker and 33" tires, you "punched it" anyway? And broke an axle shaft in the process?
