Stock Jack handle

Allright, this might be a dumb question, but I found my stock jack under the passenger seat, can't find the jack handle. Is it supposed to be there with the jack or is it stored somewhere else on a 1997 TJ and I'm not seeing it?
I'm having to lug a huge floor jack with me in the meantime which takes up most of the space in the rear.

If I'm missing it does anyone know offhand of a brand of small jack that that will fit where the original is supposed to go?

Thanks in advance.

Check behind the carpet to the side of the pass. seat on the verticle portion of the body just below the threshold of the door. Hope thats clear.
