Superchips flashpaq

I have a 2004 Tj 4.0L 42rle 6in lift on 33" tires 3.73! Has anyone had any experience with the flashpaq on this setup? Can you change the shift points and shift firmness like u can on a Chevrolet truck with the flashpaq?

The general consensus on here is that tuners for the 4.0 aren't worth it. Yes you'll get a little gain at high rpms during WOT but how often do you drive like that in your jeep? Aside from that Superchips has been the bottom of the barrel handheld tuner for awhile now. If you're dead set on getting one get a Diablosport Predator or their Trinity which will be a lot easier to resell...i'm not sure the 4.0 tune is one the Trinity though. Double check their website but i'm 90% sure the predator has user adjustable options for shift firmness and points.

Nevermind Diablo doesn't have one for an 04. IMO I wouldn't waste my money on a flashpaq get some body armor or something else instead.

I picked up a flashpaq cheap from a guy at work and I say it definitely helps. I've got a rubi lj with a 6 speed, 35's and stock gears. I run the tuner in tow haul mode and on hills that I pull on regular basis I no longer have to downshift, and this is not full throttle driving either, just normal cruising. As for auto shift points on an 04 I'm not sure but if you have abs you can recalibrate the speedo.

Yeah just noticed they don't offer one! I think changing gears will be a step in the right direction. Thanx for your reply!

I have one of those superchip things on my 2006 lj (was installed when i purchased) and I say they help. I know the consensus is they don't, but I tried it both ways, and you can (I swear) feel a difference in get up and go, nothing crazy by any means, but just doesn't hesitate as much. Mind you I'm running 35's as well.
