Swaybar link pops out?

Well my sway bar link on drivers side keeps popping out on my 06 lj?? I popped it back in and it just popped back out?? It seems like I am missing a part that holds the ball part on the top of the link? Not sure how that link is suppose to be held in but to me it looks like all that holds it is the rubber boot on the brace at top and weight of jeep? Any help here is something broken or is it time to replace due to worn part? If it is time to replace any suggestions?? It is stock and I have no plans of lifting and unfortuanatly not alot of off roading

I like the idea of disco's but the price of jks, gen 2's are a little steep since she does not off road much any help here would be great with fix or replacement?? Thanks in advance

It will need to be replaced when that starts happening. Very common problem with stock end links. You can replace them or upgrade to something like the JKS disconnects and not have to worry about that problem anymore.

Sounds like you broke the link to me . . . pretty common issue from what I've heard. You can either upgrade to some discos or find somebody that upgraded and has the stockers laying around. If you do much in the way off off roading, it would be a good idea to upgrade as the stock links won't hold up long if they are put to work. You're clear across the country from me so it might be a good idea to check a local club or forum, but if you strike out, I've got a pair of stock links laying around . . . PM me if you are interested.

Lot's of guys are pulling off the JKS if they go bigger and didn't buy the longer ones or if they go with an AntiRock...might get lucky and find those used for cheap too. You can also go to the hardware store and pick yourself up a couple of items and make your own disconnects for under 10 bucks if you decide to just replace the broken one with a stock link. Do a search and I'm sure you'll find a write up or two. The stock links should hold up fine for on-road driving, so if you were good about disconnecting them before going off-road, they'd probably last a while.
