T-Case Rattle

Has anyone experienced a rattle from your t-case when taking off? What would be causing this? broken mounting bolt??? It also occurred in my cherokee.

its a TSB for the tcase shifter mechanism. Check and see if your boot is gone

i have the same problem. when i take off a bit faster i hear a knock knock from the t-case shifter.

i only have it when i accellerate very fast.
can something get damaged by this knocking? if not i would do nothing...

yep i had the same problem. put it in 4hi and see if it rattles. (it shouldnt)

if not then replace the rubber gasket, more info on dereks link 2 posts above.

back when i first bought my jeep i was afraid to pick around so i paid 130 or so bucks for the stealer to fix it..

I assume that gasket kit is 10-15 bucks?
