There is a Weld on my tranny? Normal?

Anybody tell me if this is normal or if its not, what was done to it?

I've noticed this before but never thought anything of it :P

Thats not a weld, its a big ass glob of molten metal LOL.

Is that where the stock breather is? perhaps they plugged the old and moved it to a higher location? Thats my wild guess for the day.

Yeah I know haha it looks like shit, but idk never checked for a breather. I get low rpm clunking when I shift or hold the clutch in when I do sharp turns/u turns?

aaannnndddd I'm an idiot, I didn't realize that it was a manual trans. Does a manual trans even have a breather? I'm not sure it does.

Lets sit back and wait for the smart folk to arrive.

I see a breather from from the transfer case but not the nsg370. I took some pictures from the passenger side too.

I hate to keep bumping but I've searched everywhere with no luck on what that weld is for on my nsg370 6spd. Still hoping for someone to chime in!
