Thrid brake light

Ok, so I bought the lug nut third brake lights a few weeks ago and just got them. They don't fit into the soft 8's holes, so I have to find something else. I also cant get the one that goes in the center cap because I am going to be getting a bike rack that goes on the spare and goes in that hole. Is there anything else out there? Thanks!

Well, my 3rd brake light is in the center of the wheel where a center cap would be. If the lug lights don't fit, you can:

Forgo the bike carrier idea (at least where it mounts)
Buy new wheels
Or, buy/mount your rock jack behind the spare and mount a light to it above the tire.

Or, you could skip it completely. The third brake light is required (at least in california) but the lug lights and center light don't fulfill the size of the light required, so while I'm meeting the spirit of the law, I'm not meeting the requirements.

Sucks that they didn't work out for ya man.
I'm really enjoying mine.
Maybe try wiring up some of those LED strips that you see on tailgates and running boards.

For anyone else that's considering the Lug Light Kit:
The lights are only supposed to fit 3/4" holes.

Ok, so I ordered this 3RD 3 RD THIRD BRAKE LIGHT JEEP WRANGLER CJ TYPE CK : eBay Motors (item 350227257157 end time Feb-11-10 10:04:52 PST)
and hope it will work. I might have to make a bracket, but thats not a bit deal. Hopefully the wiring will work out. I'm not the best with wiring.

Is the OE wiring still there? Use that if so. If not, I can shoot you some pix and info.
