Throttle Body Sticking Open! Need Help

Over the past few months I've had some major and minor problems with my throttle either barely sticking open or stuck at wide open throttle. I've taken it off and throughly cleaned it to still have minor problems....I think it may be the Throttle Position sensor sticking or something in the same vicinity, it is definetly not the cable hanging because i've disconnected it and just run my throttle from underhood by hand....Anyone have any similiar problems and found a fix????

Make sure the gasket is hanging over the open bore and the butterfly is hitting the gasket. Also spray some penetrating lube onto the shaft while opening and closing the butterfly. I little buildup of gunk will also cause that. Even blow some air onto the shaft and try to get penetrating fluid between the shaft and the tb.

hope this helps.

Wide open throttle problems are normally caused by a vacuum leak. Have you had the intake manifold off?
