Tire rub help

I have 31x10.50r15 tires on stock 15x7 wheels. I have had them on since March. I had absolutley no rubbing issues. Yesterday I put on a 2-1/2" lift and now my tires are rubbing on the lower control arms at the rear of the front tires and the sway bar at the front of the tires. The rubbing happens at full turn in both directions. Is this normal? I thought that with the lift I would have more clearance.

Did you add an adj track bar? I would guess maybe the front axle got pulled one way perhaps and that might be the issue. Does it measure the same from known point on each side.. example from the shock to the frame...etc..

Stock track bar. I will do some measuring tomorrow.

Would an adjustable track bar eliminate this?

Thanks, Dan

If in fact the axle is off then yes, you can use and adj track-bar to re-center the axle and help to avoid the rubbing.. The other option would be to get newer rims with a BS that pushes the tires away from the jeep. You might also want to check the rear axle as well. Did you get an alignment after the lift?

Yes, I did get the front end aligned. They said that it was only a little off. It drives nice and straight and only rubs on full turn.

This is a great excuse to get new rims.

I do like those, but I like these better. I like the beadlock look.
