Tired of not having heat...

Alright, so I found a nasty concoction of coolant and oil from when my head gasket blew a year ago.
So, my radiator went, I changed the T-stat, and radiator, dumped entire system out, replaced with new coolant.
I hadn't had heat for a long time, and it came back a tiny bit when I used my hose and blew out the clog in my heater core lines.
Since I did that, its been slowly deteriating in temperature and now it blows cold.
Should I replace heater core next, to see if that does the trick?
Anyone have any insight to lend??

What does your temp gauge indicate when the engine is warmed up?

Try really flushing the heater core good .Use some simple green or other cleaner and let it sit in there for an hour then flush both ways.

eh, 43$ got me a new one shipped. that thing is probably nasty, seeing as how i saw what came out of it, and it was plugged completely.
It'll feel nice to have fresh new tubes in there and know its good as long as i take care of it

You could also have an air pocket in your cooling system. Did you burp it correctly after doing all the work? Heater core is not a fun job to do.
