TJ 98 2.5L Starter constant problems

Hi,
I'm onto my 2nd starter. I think i'm using a mean green starter. it always seems to get water in it (not sure if it is salt or fresh) and then it seizes up and the mechanic works some magic on it and it works again for a few months.
I have a new stock starter still in the box.
two questions:
1. where can I get spare parts for the mean green? their website is of no assistance and they don't respond to emails.
2. can I waterproof the stock starter to keep the water out?

thanks,
Ed

Well, i got desperate. The mean green starter died. The mech says he has refurbished it to be used as a spare. He also says he waterproofed the new stck starter and put it in.
