TJ cv joint centering ball

Got a TJ and had to replace the centering ball on the double cardan u-joint. Used the moog replacement I got at my work just cause noone else seemed to carry it. Worked great for four or five months then clunked again. Thinking adding grease will help but is there anything more that can be done to help with this?

I replaced mine this fall while i was there for the U joints, packed it with heavy grease and cleaned up the dust cover and put it back on haven't had any issue same moog replacement. If you didn't put the dust boot cover back in that could be your problem.

The dust boot was a little beat up, I'm going to add grease and see if that works if not I'll have to do it again. Lucky for lifetime warantees. I'll post what happens
