TJ Grill help

First post on the forums!

ok, I'm sorry if this has been covered a million times but I'm new to the forums. Just bought my 2004 TJ on thursday and I want to toss in a grill insert, but for the life of me, I cant get the grill off. I don't wanna take a hammer to the thing but I don't think I am missing any bolts or anything.

Can someone walk me thru the removal or maybe post a video. Might be asking a lot but it would make my day to get this things in there without any more headaches lol

The grill insert I got recommended loosening the radiator and sliding it up from underneath.
A real PITA job.

I don't know why you are trying to remove the grill. Most grill inserts on the market go on from the outside.

Neil F, I agree, just ordered some for mine and this almost freaked me out a bit. They should just be pushed in from the front and snap into place like plug n play.

Happy to get positive feedback on those ones. I saw them but wasn't 100% sure if I liked them or not but hearing you guys give them the nod encourages me to get them too.

Btw, where did you get those inserts? Online or a shop in town?

Take them off and spray them black, there are 3 torx screws holding each one on.
