Hey guy I was recently driving my 2005 jeep wrangler when all of a sudden it just slipped put of first gear into neutral and made a loud rattle sound. Now it keeps happening It is a stock jeep with no lift. Does anyone know why this is happening?
It only slips out of first
Have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Slips out of first, and only first. The rest of the guys are fine. My wife and I know to keep pressure on the stick while in first gear. Is there a fix? is it the whole transmission?
Common issue on the NSG370 transmission. Mine does it occasionally as well. Just hold it in first gear and you will be fine. The only fix is probably a new transmission, which will probably still slip out of first. Very expensive to replace.
My 05 LJ slips out of reverse and 1st. If you don't "click" the shifter right in(makes a little click noise when gears mesh) then it doesn't sound pretty. Maybe the transmission needs a fluid change?
