TJ top instalation.

So as i said in a previous post i am new to jeeps. my soft top zipper broke and since i just got it, the dealer decided to go half on a new Best Top replacement top. i was told by by co workers that i need to put this new top on in very warm weather and if its cooler i will need to use a hair dryer to install and stretch top as needed. i am hoping the dealer is gonna put this on for me, but in case they do not, any info or advice would be great thanks

Use a heated shop if you have access to one

it's not too bad of in install... i just did mine about a month ago. did it by myself, but another set of hands would have made it easier. it was slightly cooler outside, and it was a little tough to get it to fit. warm garage is the way to go.

I just installed my new soft top at 50 degrees. It took me and the wife 2 hours and was a bit of a pain getting it to stretch.. I pulled it out of the box, left it in the house with heat on for a couple days to get it good and warm. Really not hard.

took me a couple of hrs to do mine the 1st time. had no idea how it went on but i did watch the videos at the jeep site-helped alot. it's not really hard to figure out, it's more the order in which you have to do things-the vid's probably saved me alot of greif, fustration, and additional work.
of course i also did mine when it was fairly warm out-hard top back on for the winter.

Don't use a hairdryer. Just leave the fabric inside overnight. Unroll it, stretch it out somewhere inside a heated space. It needs to "relax."

Here's a video on installing a Replace-A-Top:
